Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country musician and singer whose stories of young heartache achieved widespread fame in the early 21st century. Swift had a passion for the music scene from a very early childhood. She swiftly made her way up in the ranks, beginning performing in theaters for children and eventually performing in front of crowds of people. She was age 11 when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. the following year she took up guitar and began to write songs. Swift created original music which was influenced by country performers such as Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks) as well as Dixie Chicks. Her material was a result of her own experience as young and a teenager. Swift relocated from Pennsylvania together with her parents, in the state of Tennessee to Hendersonville when she was 13 years old to dedicate greater time in wooing the artists from the genre of country music in Nashville.
